Without blowing the labels trumpet too much, what an amazing batch of recent releases! This is going to continue with a record, that I would not be surprised to see in a few "best of 2008" lists. Jason the Swamp sees a triumphant return to Rack & Ruin with his outstanding self titled record. A must.

It wasn't long ago that Megazord was playing his first ever show, well how quickly things can move on! He will be playing on December 9th at the reknowned "Bottom of the Hill" venue in San Francisco, supporting Railcars.

It's been a while since The Macadamia Brothers were mentioned around these parts, and so before announcing that you can download the gorgeous Cissura EP for gratis, I should really tell you about what he (Scott Milligan) has been up to. Well apart from creating more aural delights under this guise, he has also been working with Almonds, Cohen, under the guise The Almonds Brothers.. it had to be, didn't it. Okay, back to the now - here is the delightful Cissura EP for gratis.

Concrete, Experimental, Field Recordings, whatever box you try to put _ in to, he crawls out at the other side and reinvents himself in the process. This is a continuation of course, but the abstract turns aren't always plain to see.

Saturdays release comes from the exciting Fuzz Dream. Fuzz Dream is the solo project of Chad Kistler, and this debut Rack & Ruin offering is an experimental journey through sound, with influences as wide ranging from ambient to punk, then this sure is one magical trip.

In the past week former Beatle Ringo Starr, decided that he would no longer be signing autographs to the masses. In return, East Lansing's wonderful Ringo Star have decided that they will be retiring their name, and becoming *** - because of the name change, RRR067 has been re-released, and now contains a bonus track. Expect a live recording in the near future.... and I believe, autographs are available on request.

After a mini-break, we're back with divine sounds of the Texas native that goes by the name of Chimney Fish. Her first release was well received, and I have no doubt that these four tracks will be received with the same acclaim.
