Welcome to the official home of THE ILLINOIS DIVISION, Sons of Confederate Veterans. We are glad you are here. Inside this site you will find a list of Sons of Confederate Veterans (S.C.V.) camps within the State of Illinois. You will also find links to the International Headquarters, as well as, the Army of Tennessee websites. They are full of information about us and our organization, goals, and on-going projects. The Sons of Confederate Veterans is a historical lineage society that is proud of it's Southern Heritage. All members of the S.C.V. have to provide proof that their ancestor fought for the Confederate States of America armed forces between 1861-1865. We condemn in the strongest terms possible the misuse of our sacred battle flag by any and all groups who use it to promote hate and violence, and promote themselves and their cause by displaying the Confederate Battle flag. We view this as staining the memory of our ancestor's honorable service to the South in her War for Independence. So please stay awhile and have a look around.

WHY AND HOW OF RSS

I have added an RSS feed to the Camp Douglas and Division websites. Click here to learn more about RSS. This is from National, it will show you how to install and activate a RSS reader. When you do that you can add the Camp Douglas and Illinois Division , and AOT site to it. Try it out, it seems high falutin' but it is really easy and after you get use to it, you will be glad you did.
