I really failed you guys this time. Our trip to sign our lease took a lot longer than we anticipated, so I didn't have a chance to start today's strip. Thankfully, loyal reader kyra_luvs_cookies had sent in this bit of Francis fan art a while back, so I had something to show you. I will have at least the lineart for the next strip up by tonight.

Also, due to majority vote and my personal opinion, the 2-day update schedule - which starts next week - will be Mondays and Thursdays. If the 2-day schedule thing is news to you, in brief it's because I'm moving (the same reason that I couldn't get today's comic done). It'll only be temporary, but I can't give a time frame right now. So bear with me for a while.

Okay, I'm going to take a quick shower and get some much needed sleep. Be sure to check back tomorrow evening.

Tic-tac-toe would have been easier.

For those of you keeping count, today's update is strip 350. Craziness.

So, here's a question for you all. Since I'll be temporarily moving to a 2-day schedule starting next week, what days would be best to do updates on? I have a poll started in the forum, but feel free to leave your thoughts in the shoutbox below, or even email me. Input is always good.

Again, a warning for you - tomorrow's strip will be in black-and-white, as I won't have time to color it. Worst case scenario is that it'll go up later in the evening (my time), but I'll push myself as hard as I can.

Fantasy nerds everywhere breathe a heavy sigh of frustration while sci-fi nerds grin ear-to-ear.

In case you missed it - and are wondering why the heck Mike's hair is purple - there was an update yesterday, as this is a 5-day update week.

On that note, my steam ran out quicker than I thought. Friday will probably be black-and-white update, as I have fallen a bit behind, and Thursday night we're heading into Hollywood to sign the lease on our apartment. Just a warning.

I can do the same magic trick with pie.

So here we are at the start of yet another 5-day update. I'm sort of ahead of the game this time, so let's see how long I can keep up that momentum. Then next week we will switch to our temporary 2-day schedule. Hey, it's better than a hiatus, right?

The embarrassment never stops.

For those of you who may have forgotten, or if you're new, the Closetania reference is in regards to these strips.

Don't really have a whole lot to report, except to remind you that there's a 5-day update next week. Other than that, the message below has been held over from Wednesday.

I did a Behind-the-Scenes update in the forum for you to read. However, I will go over the important bit here, as I can't be sure that everyone reads the forum. In the next few weeks Katie and I will be moving into a new apartment, and as such I will need to dedicate time to that. So after your promised 5-day update next week, I am going right into a Tuesday/Thursday update schedule for a little while. Once I'm settled in at the new place and things are a little calmer, then I will revert back to the regular schedule, but I'll start off with a "freebie" 5-day update. Sound fair?

Told you there was gonna be a new character. Bet you didn't expect that, though.

Last call - you've got until Monday to preorder the Bardsworth book (which is in COLOR). After that you'll have to wait a while. And you don't get a free drawing inside. So act now.

Also, thanks to a nice donation, you guys are all in store for a 5-day update. However, I'm going to do it the week after next so I have a chance to get all the strips done and I don't burn myself out trying to do them at the last minute. So be prepared!

Nightmares for Fitzpot, hilarity for us.

These changes of scenery are killing me. It's nearly 1:00 am as I'm typing this. Friday should be it for the hard stuff. I think.

It was pointed out to me indirectly that I have not once (that I can remember) mentioned here on the main page that the Bardsworth book is in color. So let me take this moment to rectify that.

THE BARDSWORTH BOOK IS IN COLOR!

Honestly, I don't know how that escaped me, as it was one of the major selling points of the book. All the strips in the book that are black and white on the website are colorized. So if that prompts you to do so, get ye over to the store and preorder the book before Monday.

To those of you who have already ordered, I found out today that the estimated completion date is May 20th. Rejoice!

And now it's time to close my eyes and say goodbye to the real world. See you on Friday.

Normal is overrated anyway.

Sorry for the lack of color, folks. As you can see, this one has a lot of detail in it and kept me inking for a while. Not to mention my weekend was pretty packed. Which leads me into my next thing.

I'm giving you all a heads up that I may have to switch to a two-day schedule for a little while. If that does happen, it won't happen for a couple of weeks. But there are things going on in my life right now which are taking priority over the comic (things which I am not at liberty to divulge at this time). Trust me, this is the last thing I want to do to you guys, but there comes a time when life has to take top priority.

On the good news front, the book has been approved for production! It should be about three weeks before it's all done, barring any unforseen circumstances. Thank you to everyone who has preordered already, and to those of you who haven't but were thinking about it, you have one week to make your decision. On May 5th I'm closing preorders and the book will not be available for sale for a little while after that. It's only $20 and has some fantastic extras, and if you preorder you get a signed and numbered original drawing on the front page.

Also, I did another Webcomic Impression segment on The Webcomic Beacon, this time on the comic Everything Goes. It's about 40 minutes into the show if you want to skip ahead to hear my lovely voice.

Aw, he does have a heart... he just doesn't want anyone to see it.

Book status: The problem with the colors has been resolved. I will be finishing up my edits this weekend and the printer will have my final file by Saturday night (hopefully). So expect an announcement next week about the deadline for preorders.

I'm leaving the test version of the Bardcast up for the weekend, so if you haven't already please listen to it and give me some feedback.

FYI, the designer in charge of my book is looking into one of the problems I had with the colors, so hopefully I'll hear from him tomorrow. I'd like to get everything cleared up as best as I can before going to final print. And if you haven't preordered the book yet, what are you waiting for? It won't be on preorder for too much longer, and then you'll have to wait longer to get it while everyone else around you is reading it.

Also, if you haven't listened to the beta version of the Bardcast, please do and give me some feedback.

Don't worry, this is the kissiest we'll get for a while. Wednesday is more hijinks.

I received the book proof on Friday and looked it over this weekend. I have to say that I'm pretty proud of it. There are some problems that, unfortunately, I won't be able to fix, but they are very minor. Hopefully I'll get the book proofread by Wednesday and back into the printer's hands, and we'll be ready to roll. This means that preorders will be open for only a short time more, so get your orders in soon.

I have a bit of an experiment available for you all. I've been kicking around the idea of doing a Bardsworth webcast for a while now, and this weekend I threw an audio file together as a test. So I present to you the beta version of the Bardcast. Feedback is much appreciated.

Also, I have a new article on my Webcomic Talk blog. It's about writing. Check it out if you're interested.
